At the beginning of our tour we will drive to Mount Tahtali (also known as Olympos), which is part of the Taurus range system and is the highest point in Beidaglar National Park. The top of Tahtali ridge is 2365 m high. The highest point of the peak is the top station of the Olimpos Telefirik funicular railway, which takes us to the very top, in comfortable cable car cabins with view windows. The cable car journey takes you at a refreshing height through red and black pines, and at a lower part through dwarf shrubs and deciduous trees. The place where the tree cover ends and where only mosses and lichens can survive, starts at an altitude of about 1900 m above sea level. The distance from Antalya is 50 km. At the top you can enjoy breathtaking views and have a Turkish coffee at the cafe on the observation deck. At the foot of the Mediterranean is the ancient Lycian city of Phaselis, believed to have been founded in the 7th century BC. We will walk around it and our expert guide will tell you the history of the place. Then we will head into the centre of Antalya where we will walk through the winding and picturesque streets of old Kaleici that hide many historic houses and stylish restaurants where you can choose the perfect place for lunch! The entrance to the old town is through Hadrian's Gate. The symbol of Antalya is the nearby Saat Kulesi Clock Tower, where you have free time to explore the city and buy souvenirs for your loved ones! Return to your hotel.
