Pamukkale translates as the Cotton Castle-white terraces of limestone. Declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and a natural wonder on a global scale. The terraced area extends around the ancient city of Hierapolis, which became famous for its mineral waters. It is where Cleopatra herself came to take her rejuvenating bath. The Cleopatra Pool in the centre of Hierapolis, until today, gives the visitor the chance to take a bath in warm (36,6C*) mineral water and become rejuvenated.
